Rajshahi, Jan 05, (V7N) - As dawn breaks and the fog begins to lift, traditional juice collectors (locally known as "gachhis") start their day gathering sap from date palm trees in Rajshahi. The collected sap is carefully filtered and boiled for 2-3 hours, transforming it into a thick, brown liquid known as "jhola gur." When poured into molds and left to cool, this turns into "patali gur"—a solid, sweet delicacy that is as visually appealing as it is delicious.

Using this organic process, three brothers from Godagari, Rajshahi, have built a thriving business, producing and distributing chemical-free date molasses across the country. Their initiative has gained significant traction, especially during the winter season, when the demand for molasses peaks.

The Brothers Behind the Venture
The three brothers, Ripon Ali (26), Abdul Barek (28), and Hafiz Ramzan Ali, operate their molasses business from Godagari while sourcing from Durgapur. Despite being siblings, they have successfully ventured into four distinct business enterprises:

Uttarbanga Batik House – Specializes in crafting and wholesaling batik and cotton three-piece sets.
Flash Mart – An e-commerce platform for selling traditional and authentic local products.
Flash IT Pro – Provides digital marketing, graphic design, video editing, web development, and business management services.
Organic Life – Focuses on delivering organic products, including date molasses, to customers nationwide.
The brothers take orders via social media and use courier services to ensure timely delivery, offering cash-on-delivery options. Customers can pay through mobile banking, making the entire process seamless.

A Growing Market for Organic Date Molasses
This winter, the trio aims to earn between 800,000 to 1,000,000 BDT from their molasses business alone. Their commitment to quality and chemical-free production has earned them the trust of customers nationwide.

Shakil Khan, a regular customer of Organic Life, shared his experience:
“I first learned about Organic Life through a friend. I placed an order via their social media page, and the molasses was delivered on time. It was delicious and visually appealing. Now, many of my friends also order from Organic Life. I hope they maintain their product’s quality amidst the market’s abundance of adulterated goods.”

The Entrepreneurs’ Journey
Ripon Ali, one of the brothers, explained:
“We began by gifting date molasses to our friends and relatives in Rajshahi. Over time, they started requesting more, and that’s how our business began. We oversee every step of the production process to ensure the molasses is entirely chemical-free and retains its natural flavor.”

Despite challenges in a market flooded with low-quality, adulterated products, the brothers remain steadfast in their mission to deliver high-quality organic molasses to their customers.

Abdul Barek, a diploma engineer by profession, joined his brothers in this venture after recognizing the demand for authentic, chemical-free products. Over the years, their dedication has turned them into successful entrepreneurs, earning both recognition and trust from their growing customer base.
