Feb 21, (V7N) - Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku today said national development is possible only if the importance of the mother language is recognized and domestic nationalism is strengthened.
“Without valuing language, patriotism cannot be awakened, and no country can advance,” he told a discussion, cultural programme, and awards ceremony at the District Shilpakala Academy auditorium in Sirajganj. The events were organized by the district administration to mark Shaheed Day and International Mother Language Day.

Highlighting development initiatives, he noted the establishment of an industrial park and zone along the Jamuna River. He stressed the need for a central Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) to prevent pollution affecting agriculture and public health.
