Obaidul Quader, the General Secretary of the Awami League, is still in charge of roads, transportation, and bridges in the new Cabinet.

On Thursday, January 11, the Ministry of Public Administration released a notification on this matter.

The new cabinet was sworn in earlier by President Mohammed Shahabuddin, with the Cabinet secretary serving as the moderator.

On Thursday, January 11, the Cabinet Division sent a notification designating 25 full ministers and 11 ministers of state. Prior to that, President Mohammed Shahabuddin gave his approval for the new Cabinet members' appointments.

He was the Awami League's nominee from the Noakhali-5 Constituency and won the 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th National Elections.

In Sheikh Hasina's first cabinet, Quader served as the Minister of State for Youth, Sports, and Culture.

He has been the Minister of Road Transport and Bridges since December 2011.

Obaidul Quader was chosen as the Bangladesh Awami League's 20th Conference's General Secretary on October 23, 2016. In the 21st conference in 2019 and the 22nd conference in 2022, he was re-elected.
