Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced that her administration has successfully extended healthcare services to the doorsteps of the public. Speaking at her Ganabhaban residence, the Prime Minister highlighted the transformation in the health sector aimed at ensuring universal healthcare for all.

Sheikh Hasina recounted the measures implemented over the past decade and a half to enhance the country's health sector, bringing essential services closer to the populace. Following a presentation on the sector's advancements, the Prime Minister issued directives to continue pursuing universal healthcare.

She emphasized the importance of purchasing medical equipment for public hospitals based on actual needs and ensuring their proper use. The Prime Minister also reminisced about Bangabandhu's pivotal role in prioritizing health services post-independence.

Among the attendees were Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Samant Lal Sen, State Minister Dr. Rokeya Sultana, and other senior officials.
