During a meeting with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that China will support Bangladesh through grants, interest-free loans, concessional loans, and commercial loans. A Chinese technical committee will visit Bangladesh to collaborate on this initiative.

The discussion, described as "fruitful" by Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud, covered various areas of cooperation, including China's support for Bangladesh's infrastructure projects and their strategic relationship.

Xi acknowledged Bangladesh's role in sheltering Rohingyas and pledged China's assistance in resolving the issue. He also expressed China's interest in increasing imports from Bangladesh and enhancing cultural and people-to-people exchanges.

Prime Minister Hasina highlighted China's significant development as an inspiration for developing countries and called for more Chinese investment in Bangladesh's economic zones and IT villages.
