Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called on exporters to seek out new markets for Bangladeshi products and diversify the country's export portfolio. Speaking at the National Export Trophy Award Ceremony held at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium, she emphasized the need to find new destinations and broaden the range of exports.

During the event, she honored 77 exporters with the National Export Trophy in 28 categories for their exceptional performance in the 2021-2022 fiscal year. Among these, 28 firms received gold trophies, 27 received silver, and 21 received bronze, with one firm, Rifat Garments Ltd, being awarded the highest honor, the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Export Trophy.

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of not relying solely on a single export item, such as garments, and stressed the need for economic advancement through increased production, export earnings, and purchasing power.
