Dhaka, August 9 — Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus, recently appointed as the chief advisor of Bangladesh's interim government, received warm congratulations from Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Anwar Ibrahim praised Yunus's extensive experience, stating, "Dr. Yunus' vast experience promises to lead the nation with wisdom and integrity."
Reflecting on the significance of the moment, Anwar drew inspiration from the words of the revered Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore, quoting, "Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high... Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake." He connected this sentiment to the new sense of hope and energy among Bangladesh's youth under Yunus's leadership.
The Malaysian Prime Minister concluded his message by expressing his wishes for Bangladesh's success and a bright future during this pivotal time in its history.
