Dhaka, August 27 – Public relief collection activities for flood victims are ongoing at Dhaka University, particularly around the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC). In a remarkable display of community solidarity, people from various walks of life have been arriving since morning to offer support in the form of cash donations and essential relief items.

For several days now, the university campus has become a hub of humanitarian aid, with hundreds of citizens responding to the call for assistance. Today, the collection efforts are set to continue until midnight, with contributions being made in cash, medicine, clothing, and daily necessities. However, the student organizers coordinating the relief efforts have issued a new plea to the public: to stop donating clothes and dry clothing.

A representative from the student group stated, "Dry food is the most needed at this time; we urge people to prioritize cash and food contributions." The focus has shifted towards providing items that can immediately alleviate the hunger and nutritional needs of the flood-affected populations.

The relief collection drive has already resulted in several trucks loaded with essential supplies being sent to flood-hit areas. This initiative reflects a city-wide response, with people from all levels coming forward to support the flood-affected and helpless individuals.

The relief efforts at Dhaka University, particularly around the TSC, highlight the ongoing commitment of students and volunteers to provide critical assistance during this time of crisis. The call for aid continues, as organizers urge the community to remain involved and support those in dire need due to the devastating floods.
