Dhaka, Sep 05 (V7N) — Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, paid solemn respects to the martyrs of the armed forces by placing a wreath at Shikha Anirban in Dhaka Cantonment on Thursday morning.

Following the wreath-laying ceremony, Yunus observed a moment of silence in honour of the armed forces personnel who sacrificed their lives during the 1971 Liberation War. The ceremony featured a guard of honour provided by a well-armed team from the army, navy, and air force, accompanied by a somber bugle tune.

Afterwards, Yunus signed the visitor's book at Shikha Anirban. He was received by the chiefs of the three armed forces upon his arrival. The Chief Advisor later visited the Armed Forces Department, where he was greeted by the leaders of the military services.
