Cox's Bazar, Dec 21, (V7N) - Cox's Bazar, a popular seaside city, has turned into a bustling hub with a massive influx of tourists during the weekend holiday. The demand for hotel rooms has reached an all-time high, with many tourists unable to find accommodations. As a result, numerous visitors have resorted to spending the night at the beach with only their luggage or bags. There are no vacant rooms available in more than 500 hotels and motels in the city.

The beach town, along with other tourist destinations like the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive, Daria Nagar Tourism Village, Himchari Waterfall, the rocky Inani-Patuartek Beach, Teknaf Beach, the historic Mathin Koup, Nature Park, Dulahajara Safari Park, and the Buddhist village in Ramu, are all packed with visitors. Due to the lack of available rooms, many tourists are being forced to leave Cox's Bazar.

Since Friday morning (December 20), the beachfront has been crowded with thousands of tourists. The area in front of the beach, with its blue waters, has become a popular spot for people to gather, reveling in the joy and excitement of the season.

A tourist from Bhola, Shahin, said, "I arrived in Cox's Bazar last night. I haven't been able to find a room yet, so I had to sleep on the beach chair overnight. Since I can't find a room, I'm now forced to leave."

Another tourist, Shafiq, mentioned, "I came to Cox's Bazar with seven family members early in the morning. We still haven’t found a room. The two rooms we found at a cottage were not up to standard, and they’re charging 10,000 taka per night. We’ve decided to walk on the beach instead."

Said, another tourist, stated, "I arrived by bus and still haven’t found a room. I’m searching for one, but I haven’t even had the chance to enjoy the beach yet."

Abul Kashem, president of the Cox's Bazar Hotel and Motel Owners Association, confirmed that during the weekend, the number of tourists visiting Cox's Bazar has skyrocketed. There are no rooms available at any of the hotels or motels.
