Bangladesh's foreign currency reserves have reached $26.88 billion, as confirmed by official data from the central bank. This figure includes a Net International Reserves (NIR) of $16.77 billion, exceeding the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) target of $14.7 billion set for June.

According to Bangladesh Bank spokesperson Md Mezbaul Haque, this achievement marks the first time Bangladesh has surpassed the IMF target since the approval of a $4.7 billion loan package in February of the previous year.
