Three individuals who were operating two of the restaurants that were destroyed by yesterday night's horrific fire at the seven-story building on Bailey Road in Dhaka Bangladesh were taken into custody by police on Friday.

They are Md. Jisan, the manager of Kachchi Bhai, and Anwarul Haque and Shafiqur Rahman Rimon, the proprietors of the eatery Cha Chumuk.

During a press briefing on Friday evening at the DMP Media Center, Wahid Uddin, assistant commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, said that they are being questioned.

Speaking to the businesspeople, Mahid stressed that they should consider people's safety in addition to profit.
When inquired about any carelessness from the building's owners, he threatened to sue anyone held accountable for the occurrence.

He asked that everyone carry out their actions with the 'Safety First' ethos in mind.

Twenty men, eight women, and eight children have perished in this horrific fire thus far, he claimed.

Forty of the deceased have been positively identified. Families have received the bodies of 39 people. Two people's bodies have been stored in the morgue's freezer.

He said that DNA testing will be used to identify the remaining people.
