The demonstration began at 10:30 AM, as Dynamic Sweater workers took to the streets, urging employees from nearby factories to join the protest. The situation escalated when some workers threw bricks and stones at Al Lima Garments.

Upon receiving reports of the blockade, Savar Police, Industrial Police, and Army personnel arrived at the scene and managed to bring the situation under control.

Workers’ Demands:

  • 9% salary increase
  • 1,000 taka attendance bonus
  • Increased iftar allowance during Ramadan
  • Overtime payments on holidays
  • Eid bonus equal to full salary
  • Clearance of overdue overtime payments
  • Shorter working hours during Ramadan

The workers have also protested against the dismissal of employees, urging factory authorities to reconsider their decision.

While law enforcement has restored order, tensions remain high as workers await a response from the factory management regarding their demands.
