Dhaka, Mar 25 (V7N) – As Eid approaches, city dwellers have begun leaving the capital to celebrate with their loved ones. On the second day of the Eid travel rush, 11 intercity trains departed from Kamalapur Railway Station without any delay, bringing relief to passengers.

Since Monday, people have been heading home, with a noticeable increase in women passengers this time. The fully online ticketing system has significantly reduced overcrowding at the station, making the travel experience more organized.

According to railway sources, the government has arranged 10 special trains and added 44 extra coaches to accommodate the Eid rush. Additionally, 25 percent standing arrangements were introduced for passengers, but the sale of standing tickets has now been stopped.

Government employees are enjoying a 9-day consecutive holiday, allowing them to spend extended time with their families.

To ensure security, personnel from the army, RAB, police, and railway police are stationed at Kamalapur Railway Station, maintaining order and assisting travelers.
