Dhaka, Mar 31 (V7N)- A grand Eid joy procession, inspired by the Mughal and Sultanate eras, was held in the capital on Monday, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. Organized by the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), the event saw enthusiastic participation from people of all walks of life.
The procession began at the old trade fair ground in Agargaon, featuring a magnificent display of traditional banners, festoons, and musical instruments. Participants, dressed in colorful attire, chanted festive slogans, reviving the essence of historical Eid celebrations from the Sultanate and Mughal periods.
The parade moved through Agargaon's main road, passing Khamarbari intersection, and concluded in front of the South Plaza of the Parliament Building on Manik Mia Avenue. Spectators lined the streets to witness the grandeur and cultural richness of the event, which aimed to celebrate Bangladesh’s heritage and bring communities together in joy.
Following the procession, participants gathered at Manik Mia Avenue, where a special Eid concert was organized. The event featured music, cultural performances, and celebrations, adding to the spirit of Eid festivities in the capital.
