Dhaka, Jun 08 (V7N) – After celebrating Eid-ul-Azha with their loved ones, working people have begun returning to the capital. From Sunday morning, trains and buses are steadily bringing people back to Dhaka, while at the same time, many are also leaving the city to visit their hometowns and relatives.

A visit to Kamalapur Railway Station revealed a unique scene: while a significant number of passengers were seen arriving in Dhaka, many were also departing the capital. Some of those leaving the city shared that they had to stay back during Eid for work and were now heading home to spend time with their families during the extended holiday period.

With a 10-day government holiday declared for Eid-ul-Azha — one day more than the 9-day holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr — many people are taking advantage of the extended break to travel.

Passengers traveling by train on the second day of Eid reported a comfortable and hassle-free journey, noting that the pressure of holiday traffic has eased significantly.

This dual movement — both returning to work and delayed departures for celebration — underscores the dynamic rhythm of post-Eid travel in a city like Dhaka, where millions juggle work, tradition, and family responsibilities during national festivals.
