Dhaka, May 26 (V7N)- Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has announced an extensive preparation plan to remove sacrificial animal waste from the capital within 12 hours of Eid-ul-Azha, officials said on Tuesday (May 26).

State Minister for Local Government Mir Shahe Alam said the waste removal operations will begin at 2 pm on Eid day and are expected to be completed within 12 hours.

He made the remarks at a view-exchange meeting held at Nagar Bhaban in Gulshan, focused on sacrificial waste management in DNCC areas.

The minister said coordination meetings were held with the Prime Minister regarding animal markets, citizen services, and security measures ahead of Eid. He added that city officials are working according to government directives to ensure smooth post-Eid sanitation management.

DNCC Administrator Md. Shafiqul Islam said that a total of 752 vehicles will be deployed for waste removal operations across the city. He added that necessary equipment has already been distributed to sanitation workers to ensure quick and efficient cleanup.

Officials expressed confidence that with the current preparation, sacrificial waste can be cleared within the targeted timeframe, helping restore normal city conditions shortly after Eid celebrations.
