Dhaka, Oct 23 (V7N) — The joint force has arrested a man named Nuruddin Sajal alias Dental Sajal with four firearms from Sobhanbagh in the capital’s Dhanmondi area.

He was detained during a six-hour raid at Mim Tower on Wednesday night (October 22), officials confirmed.

According to law enforcement sources, the operation was carried out based on intelligence reports linking Sajal to a recent terrorist firing incident in Mohakhali. During the raid, officers recovered four automatic foreign pistols, four walkie-talkies, a large cache of sharp weapons, and equipment used for making firearms from the 10th floor of the building.

Investigators also seized an ID card of a non-existent online portal and a vehicle with fake stickers allegedly used by Sajal.

Officials said Sajal is a known criminal and a prime suspect in several cases, including illegal arms trading and weapon firing in the Dhanmondi area.

Further investigation is underway.
