A citywide fire that started at the Chawkbazar Solaiman Tower has been contained.

About 9:50 am, six fire department units from Lalbagh, Palashi Barracks, and Siddikbazar arrived on the scene and put out the fire, according to Voice7 News-reported Fire Service and Civil Defense Media Cell Officer (inspector) M. Anwarul Islam.

According to him, the 6-story building's ground floor was where the fire started at 8:59 a.m.

"A pharmacy was one of the two stores that suffered damage from the fire. Both the origin of the fire and the degree of the damage are currently unknown. But no casualties have been reported as of yet," he added.
