Dhaka, Oct 30 (V7N)- The court has approved remand orders for several prominent former officials, including ex-Law Minister Anisul Haque, former Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder, former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdullah Al Mamun, and retired Major General Ziaul Ahsan Zia. This decision was handed down on Wednesday, October 30, in relation to various cases filed across multiple police stations.
The remand details include:
- A four-day remand for former IGP Abdullah Al Mamun in connection with a case at Bangshal Police Station.
- A three-day remand for former Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder in a murder case registered at Mohammadpur Police Station.
- A three-day remand for former Law Minister Anisul Haque related to another murder case at Badda Police Station.
- A five-day remand for retired Major General Ziaul Ahsan Zia.
In addition, former Social Welfare Minister Dipu Moni and ex-DC Moshiur from Dhaka South City Corporation have been newly shown as arrested in two separate cases from Badda Police Station, one from Kafrul Police Station, and another from Jatrabari Police Station. Earlier, DC Moshiur faced allegations of assault and an attempted murder charge involving a former ward councillor.
