Dhaka, May 03 (V7N) – The High Court has published its full 131-page verdict upholding the trial court’s decision in the sensational Abrar Fahad murder case, confirming the death penalty for 20 accused and life imprisonment for five others.
The verdict was released on Saturday (May 3), signed by Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Syed Enayet Hossain. The High Court had earlier pronounced its judgment on March 16, affirming the trial court's decision.
Abrar Fahad, a second-year student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), was brutally beaten to death in a dormitory by members of the BUET Chhatra League on October 7, 2019, after he posted a Facebook status criticizing a government agreement with India.
