Dhaka, June 24 (V7N) — The investigation agency of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has found the involvement of 16 individuals in the gruesome murder of six people and subsequent burning of their bodies in Ashulia. The prosecution is set to submit the investigation report and formal charges to the tribunal on Tuesday (June 24).
In a significant move, the tribunal has decided to broadcast the trial live, allowing the public to follow proceedings in real time.
Meanwhile, seven accused, including police officers Abdullah Hill Kafi and Shahidul Islam, were presented before the tribunal on Monday morning in connection with the case.
Additionally, Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun was produced before the court in a crime against humanity case, while Ziaul Ahsan appeared in relation to a disappearance case.
The tribunal may also appoint state defense lawyers for Sheikh Hasina and Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, who have been declared absconders in a separate crime against humanity case.
