Natore, July 11 (V7N)- Police in Gurudaspur, Natore, have arrested six robbers who were caught with local weapons while preparing for a robbery. A blue-yellow pickup truck and various tools used in the robbery were also seized during the operation. The arrests took place around 8:30 PM on Wednesday near the Kachikata Toll Plaza on the Bonpara-Hatikumrul highway, following a tip-off. The details were confirmed by Superintendent of Police Tariqul Islam during a press briefing at 1 PM on Thursday.
 
The arrested individuals are: Mokaddes (60), son of the late Afzal Hossain from Pakurtala village, Enayetpur Upazila, Sirajganj, Emdadul (45), son of the late Insaf Ali from Gofrekhi Madhyapara, Sirajganj, Mithu (28), son of Mokleshur Rahman from Ghatkor Madhyapara, Manda Upazila, Naogaon, Naeem Hossain (28), son of Abbas Mondal from Meghulla village, Belkuchi Upazila, Sirajganj, Hossain Ali (20), son of Saddam Gochar from Sorkarpur, Sirajganj Sadar Upazila, Sujan (25), son of Habibur Rahman from Bamangram cluster village, Shahjadpur Upazila, Superintendent Tariqul Islam reported that following a secret tip-off about a group of robbers preparing for a robbery in the Kachikata Toll Plaza area, a raid was conducted by Gurudaspur police under the direction of Sub-Inspector Imran Hossain and his team.
 
During the raid, six robbers were apprehended, and various items were seized, including a blue-yellow pickup truck used in the robbery, a lock cutter, a knife, three iron rods, two pliers, two screwdrivers, two wrenches, two hacksaw blades, a UPVC pipe, a torchlight, rope, and a bag. A case has been filed against the arrested individuals at Gurudaspur Police Station, and they have been handed over to the police station.
