Rajapur, July 11 (V7N) – A crucial road in the 9th ward of the Baroiya Union in Rajapur, which became impassable due to continuous rain, has been repaired with the help of local volunteers from the Islamic Students Movement of Bangladesh. This initiative, which alleviated the hardships of local residents and vehicle drivers, was led by the union's 5th ward president, Hasibur Rahman.

Swift Action by Local Youth

The road, which had long been neglected, became a major issue during the rainy season, making travel difficult and unsafe. In response, the Islamic Students Movement of Bangladesh's Baroiya Union branch organized a voluntary road repair activity. Hasibur Rahman, along with local auto-rickshaw drivers and residents, led the repair work, earning appreciation from the community.

Rahman expressed, "Our goal is to ensure that people don’t face difficulties in their daily commute. The teachings of our faith emphasize serving humanity, and we hope that Allah accepts this small effort from us."

Appeal for Permanent Solutions

Despite the efforts of the volunteers, the road remains in poor condition, as it has not been properly maintained for an extended period. Locals are now urging the relevant authorities to take immediate action and repair the road permanently to avoid similar problems in the future.

A Community-Driven Initiative

The initiative was a testament to the spirit of community and volunteerism, showcasing how local youth can contribute to public welfare even in times of adversity. This temporary repair has brought some relief, but a long-term solution is still needed to ensure the safety and convenience of commuters.
