Rangamati, Feb 09, (V7N) - Mohammad Habibullah, the District Commissioner of Rangamati, has extended support to the students injured during the mass uprising in Longadu Upazila of Rangamati, which took place last July. The District Commissioner personally visited the remote hilltop homes of the injured students, inquiring about their condition and offering financial assistance.

On Saturday morning, upon arriving in Longadu from Rangamati, the District Commissioner and his team were warmly welcomed with flowers and a guard of honor. Later, they held a meeting with local dignitaries at the Upazila Public Library Hall.

The meeting was chaired by Kafil Uddin Mahmud, the Executive Officer of Longadu Upazila. District Commissioner Mohammad Habibullah delivered the keynote speech, with other prominent figures in attendance, including Ruhul Amin, the Additional District Commissioner of Rangamati, Minhaj Toukir, District Council Member, Longadu Upazila Executive Officer, and other senior officials.

During the meeting, the dignitaries discussed opportunities for the development of the upazila and also reviewed the progress made since the mass uprising on July 24th.

Before the meeting, the District Commissioner and his team traveled for an hour and a half by boat to reach the remote hilltop homes in Longadu. They visited the home of Md. Imran, an injured student who had been shot during the uprising, and provided him with 80,000 Taka in financial assistance.

Additionally, three other injured students also received financial aid. This support was provided by the Rangamati District Administration to assist those affected by the mass uprising.
