Jhalakathi Apr 19 (V7N) - Jhalakathi Representative Farmers' Field Day was held in Banshbunia of Kathalia Upazila of Jhalakathi. The Upazila Agriculture Office organized the day.

The day was organized at the Mugdal Crop Exhibition Ground of the Partner Project in Bashbunia, Amua Union on Saturday afternoon, April 19. Farmers, public representatives, journalists and other dignitaries were present at the event.

Dr. Kawsar Uddin Ahmed, Chief Scientific Officer of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, Gazipur, was present as the chief guest at the event. Partner Project Director Dr. Jagadish Chandra Barman and Deputy Project Director Dr. Md. Faruk Hossain were the special guests.

The program was presided over by Dr. Mustafizur Rahman, Scientific Officer of the Regional Agricultural Research Center, Barisal. After the program, the guests visited the crop fields of the Bari Mugh-6 and 8 projects under the partner project.
