PABNA, June 06 (V7N) – In a remarkable achievement, 68 students from Chatmohar Upazila in Pabna have secured admission to prestigious universities and medical colleges across Bangladesh, setting a new record for the region. This unprecedented success was celebrated on Tuesday afternoon, June 3, with a reception organized by the Upazila administration, where over fifty of these meritorious students were honored with crests.

The Upazila Parishad hall was filled to capacity for the event, where the successful students shared anecdotes from their academic journeys. The reception was a deeply emotional occasion for many parents, who shed tears of joy witnessing their children's accomplishments. Younger students from various schools and colleges in the upazila were also present, visibly inspired by the success stories of their predecessors.

The initiative by the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Musa Naser Chowdhury, has been widely applauded by teachers, students, guardians, and the community at large, with UNO Chowdhury receiving high praise for his efforts.

The reception, chaired by UNO Musa Naser Chowdhury and moderated by Upazila Food Controller Ainin Afroz, featured speeches from notable figures including Assistant Superintendent of Police (Chatmohar Circle) Arjuma Akhter, Upazila Education Officer Abdul Gani, Principal of Chatmohar Women's Degree College Sharif Mahmud Sarkar Sanju, and meritorious students Nusrat Jahan Panna, Rakib Hasan, and Shahriar Tanvir Shobhan. The event was attended by students, guardians, teachers, journalists, and other dignitaries.

UNO Musa Naser Chowdhury expressed his admiration, stating, "It is truly rare that so many students from one upazila have got the opportunity to get admission in all the renowned universities of the country. Even if it is a small thing, I have tried to recognize the meritorious students. I also liked the way the younger students of various educational institutions of the upazila were present and excited to hear such success stories of their elders."
