Pabna, Oct 10 (V7N) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Central Committee Assistant Office Secretary of the Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal, Lalita Gulshan Mita, has said that the future state of Bangladesh will be governed under the 31-point reform framework announced by BNP leader Tarique Rahman.
She made this remark on Friday afternoon while addressing a street rally following a leaflet distribution campaign at Bashherbada in Sahapur Union of Ishwardi upazila, Pabna. The event was organized to raise public awareness and support for implementing Tarique Rahman’s 31-point national reform agenda.
Lalita Gulshan Mita stated that the people of Bangladesh will soon vote for the BNP and bring the party back to power under the symbol of the paddy sheaf, following years of political struggle, sacrifice, and persecution. “For the past 17 years, we have endured oppression and injustice. But the time has come for the nation to reward that sacrifice. Under the visionary leadership of Tarique Rahman, the next government will rebuild Bangladesh based on the 31-point reform plan, leading the country toward prosperity,” she said.
She also expressed strong criticism of the Awami League, saying, “Those who tortured BNP leaders and activists for 17 years through assaults, false cases, and imprisonment will not be forgiven. There will be no mercy for the perpetrators of political oppression.”
Speaking about the upcoming national elections, Mita reaffirmed her loyalty to the BNP, saying, “I am a dedicated follower of Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman. Whoever the BNP nominates for the Ishwardi-Atghoria constituency, I will campaign for them with full strength. My only goal is to ensure victory for the paddy sheaf symbol and uphold the ideals of Bangladeshi nationalism.”
She further added that if the BNP forms the next government, she intends to seek nomination for the reserved women’s seat in the National Parliament. “If my party considers me for the position, I will accept it with honor and gratitude. I will always abide by the party’s decision,” she said.
Local BNP leaders, including former UP member Sanuar Hossain Santu, Jahangir Hossain, Ashraful Islam, and Haidar Ali Babu, were present at the event. The program concluded with chants supporting the BNP’s reform movement and calls for national unity under Tarique Rahman’s leadership.
