Barguna, Nov 06 (V7N) – A seminar on “The Role of Workers in Establishing a Tawheed-Based Modern State” was held in Barguna on Wednesday, November 5, at 11:00 a.m. at the Barguna Press Club auditorium. The event was organized by the Hezb-ut-Tawheed Barguna District Committee.

The seminar was inaugurated by Mohammad Safikul Islam Ukbah, Joint General Secretary of the Hezb-ut-Tawheed Central Committee and President of the Barisal Division. Special guests included Ruhul Amin Mridha, Organizational Secretary and Regional President of Barisal; Saifur Rahman Sai, President of Patuakhali District; and Suman Talukdar, President of Pirojpur District. The session was presided over by Helal Hossain, President of Barguna District.

In his keynote presentation, Mohammad Safikul Islam Ukbah highlighted that despite 17 constitutional amendments in the 53 years since Bangladesh gained independence, fundamental issues remain unresolved. He emphasized that human-made laws and systems have failed to resolve state crises. According to him, only Allah has the authority to legislate, and the sovereignty of Tawheed must be recognized.

Ukbah further noted that Islamic leadership selection is based on public opinion, whereas the current parliamentary system allows representatives to make laws independently, which conflicts with Islamic principles.

Speakers stressed that a Tawheed-based state modeled on the peaceful societal system established by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) could ensure justice, equality, and peace across all sectors of society. They added that such a system would guide the judiciary, media, defense, women’s rights, legislation, and social security based on Islamic values.

Journalists from print and electronic media actively participated in the discussion, sharing their views. Speakers also noted that seminars, roundtable discussions, and forums on establishing a Tawheed-based state have already been conducted nationwide and will continue in the future.
