Habiganj, Nov 05 (V7N) — BNP’s nominated candidate for Habiganj-4 constituency (Madhabpur-Chunarughat), Syed Mohammad Faisal, has pledged to secure the people’s mandate through a democratic victory, saying his fight is not for political gain but for restoring the rights and hopes of the people.

He made the remarks on Monday around 3:30 p.m. while addressing an election rally in front of the Bulla Union Parishad office in Madhabpur upazila. The event was presided over by Union BNP President Mishir Ali, with former upazila chairman and BNP leader Syed Md. Shahjahan attending as special guest.

Faisal said, “This election is a struggle to restore people’s right to vote. I am a son of Habiganj-4, and I feel it is my responsibility to ensure the area’s development, promote education, create employment opportunities, and improve the lives of ordinary citizens. If BNP returns to power, it will work for the welfare of farmers, workers, students, and women alike.”

He promised that, if elected, he would transform Habiganj-4 into a model of development. “Special projects will be undertaken in education, healthcare, agriculture, and communication sectors. I will also focus on nurturing young entrepreneurs to drive local growth,” he added.

In his remarks, Syed Md. Shahjahan praised Faisal as a dedicated and tested leader, saying, “Syed Faisal has always stood at the forefront of our political struggles. People trust him because he is a man of action, not just words.”

Other speakers included Upazila BNP President Shamsul Islam Kamal, Vice Presidents Haji Oli Ullah and Chairman Parvez Hossain Chowdhury, General Secretary Hamidur Rahman Hamdu, Municipal BNP Secretary and journalist Alauddin Al Rony, Joint Secretary Mostafa Kamal Babul, Organizing Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Sohag, former mayor Habibur Rahman Manik, former vice-chairman Abdul Aziz, former chairman Shamsul Islam Mamun, Jubo Dal convener Enayet Ullah, joint conveners Kabir Khan Chowdhury and Haji Anisur Rahman, among others.

Speakers at the event expressed confidence that BNP’s victory in Habiganj-4 is only a matter of time, noting that the grassroots and central leadership are united under Faisal’s leadership. “The people are ready to vote for the BNP symbol,” they said.

The rally drew a large crowd of leaders, activists, and residents, transforming the Bulla Bazar area into a festive atmosphere. Concluding his speech, Syed Mohammad Faisal urged voters, “Go to the polling centers with courage and cast your votes. The people of this constituency will ensure the victory of democracy, Insha’Allah.”
