Rangamati, June 12, 2026 (V7N): With the Football World Cup approaching, festive spirit is sweeping across Rangamati. Argentina fans in the district organized a colorful motorbike rally Thursday to show their love and support for the Albiceleste.
The rally was officially launched at 4 PM with balloon releases by members of the organizing committee. Supporters from across the district were mobilized through social media campaigns on Facebook. The procession kicked off from the Rangamati Abdul Shukur Stadium grounds, with hundreds of motorbikes carrying Argentina jerseys and flags.
City Painted Blue and White
Decked in Argentina’s iconic blue-and-white, supporters transformed the city streets into a festival ground. The rally moved from the stadium through Tabalchhari and Asambasti before reaching the Argentina Bridge area. Fans burst into dance, songs, and chants, celebrating for nearly an hour at the spot.
The motorcade later passed through Vedvedi, Bonorupa main road, and concluded at the Y Bridge in Reserve Bazar. Thousands of Argentina supporters from different parts of the city joined the rally.
Roadside Cheers Add to Festivity
Many Argentina fans who couldn’t join the rally lined the main roads, waving and cheering as the procession passed. Their presence added to the carnival-like atmosphere that gripped the town.
Supporters said such events are not just expressions of love for their favorite team, but also strengthen camaraderie and harmony among the district’s sports lovers. “As the World Cup gets closer, the excitement among football fans in Rangamati keeps growing,” one participant told V7N.
