Natore, Aug 04 (V7N) – Passenger bus services from Natore to Dhaka and other destinations were halted on Sunday morning as the ‘all-out non-cooperation’ movement initiated by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement came into effect.

The disruption led to significant hardship for commuters, particularly on the first working day of the week. Many individuals were seen walking to their workplaces or using alternative, lighter forms of transportation.

At the Boro Harishpur Central Bus Terminal in Natore, most bus counters were found closed by a Natore correspondent during the morning. Dhaka-bound bus operators had also suspended their services on Saturday night, refunding previously purchased tickets to passengers.

A similar situation was observed at the Bhabanigan Bus Terminal, where no buses departed from the station.

Lakkhan Poddar, President of the District Bus Minibus Owners Association, indicated that the suspension of bus services was implemented for security reasons in response to the student-led movement.
