Narayanganj, August 12 — Four firearms stolen from the Narayanganj Rifle Club have been recovered. The weapons were found near the toilet at Hajiganj Kheyaghat in the city around 9 pm on Monday. The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-11) later arrived at the scene and seized the firearms.

Imrul Kayes, an official from the Narayanganj Rifle Club, confirmed that the recovered weapons belonged to their club. The firearms were reportedly looted during the recent anti-discrimination student movement.

RAB-11 Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shahabuddin Ahmed stated that the weapons were discovered inside two sacks. He urged anyone still in possession of looted firearms to surrender them immediately, assuring that their identities would be kept confidential.

The recovery marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to retrieve stolen weapons and maintain security in the region.
