Kushtia, Mar 1 (V7N) – Students at Islamic University in Kushtia organized a vibrant rally on Friday to celebrate the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan. The rally began at the central mosque following Jumuah prayers and traveled through the university’s main roads, concluding at the mosque with a brief gathering.

The event was hosted by Sazzad Sabbir, an Accounting student, with participation from several student leaders, including Mahmudul Hasan (President of Jamiat Talaba-e-Arabia IU unit), Hafiz M Abu Musa (Central Cultural Secretary of Islami Chhatra Shibir), M Ismail Hossain Rahat (General Secretary of Islami Chhatra Andolan Bangladesh IU unit), and Mahmudul Hasan (President of Islami Chhatra Shibir IU unit).

Speeches were made emphasizing respect for Ramadan and the importance of maintaining discipline on campus. Students called for the university to close shops during fasting hours and ensure a peaceful environment free of undesirable activities. They also requested better meal provisions for students, including special arrangements for non-Muslim students during the month.
