DHAKA, May 6, (V7N) — A high-level delegation from Anhui Normal University, China, led by President Xiong Yujie, met with Education Minister Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Hoque Milon at the Secretariat today to discuss strengthening educational collaboration.

The Minister highlighted Bangladesh’s progress in global university rankings, citing institutions like BUET, and expressed the government’s ambition to elevate this standing further. He emphasized that Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is a current priority, noting significant scope for cooperation with China in this sector.

President Xiong Yujie described Anhui Normal University as a premier institution specializing in professional training for educators. He expressed strong interest in collaborating with Bangladesh to enhance teacher development and improve education quality. The Chinese delegation assured their commitment to future cooperation aimed at raising educational standards.

The meeting was attended by Education Secretary Abdul Khalek, Technical and Madrasah Education Division Secretary Md. Daud Mia.
