Los Angeles, Jan 09, (V7N) - Paris Hilton recently revealed that her family’s home was destroyed in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. In an emotional post on X, she expressed being "heartbroken beyond words" over the loss. Hilton shared that while sitting with her family and watching the news, she saw their Malibu home burn to the ground on live TV. “Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” she wrote.
Hilton, who is married to entrepreneur Carter Reum, has two children—1-year-old son Phoenix and 1-year-old daughter London. She reflected on the memories made in the home, saying it was where Phoenix took his first steps and where she and Carter dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.
Since Tuesday, powerful Santa Ana winds have fueled multiple wildfires across LA County, killing at least five people and destroying homes. Winds are expected to ease overnight Wednesday, but forecasters warn that conditions will remain critical through Thursday. The Eaton Fire near Pasadena spread rapidly, burning over 10,600 acres, while the Pacific Palisades Fire grew to 15,832 acres, burning between Santa Monica and Malibu. A third blaze, the Hurst Fire, ignited in Sylmar, burning at least 500 acres and prompting evacuations.
In total, over 100,000 people have been ordered to evacuate. Despite the overwhelming loss, Hilton expressed gratitude that her family is safe. She offered prayers for others affected by the fires, including those who lost homes, memories, and pets. She also expressed sympathy for those still in danger or mourning greater losses.
Several other celebrities have also been displaced by the fires, including actors James Woods, Mark Hamill, and Cameron Mathison, as well as reality TV stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, and songwriter Diane Warren. The fires have caused significant disruptions in Hollywood, including the postponement of the Critics' Choice Awards and cancellations of movie premieres.
Hilton concluded her post with a heartfelt thank you to the firefighters and first responders, praising their bravery and sacrifice. "Let’s protect one another and hold onto hope that these fires will soon be contained," she wrote. "We're in this together, LA. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight. You never know when everything could change."
