Khagrachari, 24 (V7N) - Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, SGP, BAM, NDU, AFWC, PSC, the Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force, inaugurated newly constructed houses for homeless VDP (Village Defence Party) members in Khagrachari on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

The inauguration of the first phase of 04 houses, out of a total of 26 newly built homes across the country, was conducted through video teleconferencing from the force headquarters. This initiative, which resulted in the construction of 26 houses for VDP members this year, was undertaken by the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force.

Following the official handover of the newly constructed houses, the VDP members expressed their gratitude to the Director General and extended their thanks to the Deputy Director General, Chittagong and Hill Range, Chittagong, and the District Commandant, Ansar and VDP, Khagrachari Hill District.

District Commandant Md. Arifur Rahman, PPM, was present at the force headquarters during the video teleconference. Also in attendance were Mr. Mohammad Shahadat Hussain, Upazila Ansar and VDP Officer, Matiranga; Mr. Rokeya Parvin, Upazila Ansar VDP Officer, Sadar, Khagrachhari; Mr. Md. Kazi Akash, Upazila Trainer, Panchhari, Khagrachhari; along with Ansar and VDP members from Panchhari Upazila.
