Dhaka, 20 June 2024 – The excitement surrounding the film "Toofan" has taken the city by storm, marking a significant shift in Bengali cinema. Released just before Eid-ul-Azha, the film has generated unprecedented hype among Shakib Khan fans and cinema-goers alike.
From the moment the teaser and poster were unveiled, it was clear that "Toofan" would be a game-changer. Film enthusiasts predicted that the movie, with its captivating storyline and high-quality production, would create waves in Dhaka's film scene. Despite some initial skepticism from critics, the film's release has proven to be a major success.
The true test came after the Eid-ul-Azha festivities, as audiences flocked to theaters. On the third day of Eid, the enthusiasm for "Toofan" was palpable, with moviegoers expressing their excitement and satisfaction.
Featuring Shakib Khan and Kolkata's Mimi Chakraborty, "Toofan" also boasts performances from Chanchal Chowdhury, Salahuddin Lovelu, and Nabila, among others. Chowdhury's role added a unique dimension to the film, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
Chanchal Chowdhury shared his thoughts on the film's success: "When the audience likes it, we like it too. We get a different momentum, we get encouragement. For example, the audience's interest in this 'Toofan' is very good. If the film becomes a superduper hit, I will work on bigger projects. And always want to perform for the audience. And if the audience wants, there will be Toofan-2."
Director Raihan Rafi expressed his excitement about "Toofan" in a recent interview: "The movie 'Toofan' is worth every penny. Watching the movie will be a valuable experience. No one has ever been disappointed by my movies. 'Paran' and 'Tunnel' were well-received by audiences. Now, seeing 'Toofan' will increase their faith.
