Residents of Naikshyanchhari Sadar Union in Bangladesh reported hearing gunfire, mortar shell explosions, and artillery bomb explosions on the other side of the Janchhari border.

On Sunday, around 11:45 p.m., the noises were audible for an hour. Throughout Monday, there were sporadic gunfire sounds. On the Ghumdhum border, seven schools have not yet opened as of the past 22 days.

According to Triratan Chakma, the upazila education officer of Naikxyongchari, "the situation is completely normal," the schools in Ghumdhum will open in the next few days.

In Ward No. 8 of Naikxyangchhari Sadar Union, local UP member Chhaber Ahmed said that many mortar and artillery bomb explosions took place inside Myanmar, outside of the old Maizza camp, Anchafri camp, and Sali Dong camp on the 46th and 47th pillars of the Jangchhari border. It sounded like an earthquake was being manufactured with these photos.

The sound of artillery mortar rounds and shells on the opposite side rattled many of the houses in the hamlet on the other side, according to Md. Nurul Abshar Imon, Chairman of the Naiksangchari Sadar Union Parishad.

Because of this, locals are fleeing the region. The 11th battalion of the Naikshyongchari BGB was observed to be on high alert, but they had no comments.
