Dhaka, Mar 31 (V7N)-  The National Mosque, Baitul Mukarram, hosted five congregations of Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday, drawing thousands of worshippers from across the city. The first congregation took place at 7 AM, followed by heartfelt prayers and supplications seeking the prosperity and protection of the nation. Devotees fervently prayed to Allah for the country’s well-being and for protection from all adversities.

Despite the capital being largely empty during the Eid holidays, the Gulistan area surrounding Baitul Mukarram saw a massive influx of worshippers from early morning. Men, young and old, lined up in an orderly manner to participate in the Eid prayers, reflecting an atmosphere of unity and spiritual devotion.

Tight security arrangements were in place as worshippers entered the mosque. Many arrived with their families and children, carrying little ones on their shoulders or holding their hands, creating a warm and festive scene. The mosque, one of the largest in the country, overflowed with worshippers during all five prayer sessions.

Children, dressed in their finest clothes, eagerly accompanied their fathers, exchanging Eid greetings with bright smiles and joyous expressions.

In each congregation, Imams delivered sermons highlighting the spiritual significance of Eid-ul-Fitr, emphasizing the values of compassion, gratitude, and unity. Special prayers were offered for the well-being of the global Muslim community and for a prosperous future for Bangladesh.

As the prayers concluded, worshippers were seen with tearful eyes, raising their hands in humble supplication to the Almighty, seeking peace, harmony, and blessings for the nation and the world.
