DHAKA, July 11, (V7N) — Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Swechhasebak Dal today issued a directive asking its leaders and activists to stand by affected people in flood-hit areas.
The organisation, in a statement, said it asked them to carry out rescue, relief, and humanitarian aid operations maintaining coordination with local administrations.
The directive particularly asked the leaders and activists to distribute fresh water, dry food, baby food, essential medicines, and oral saline, laying priority on children, women, elderly and people with ailments or disabilities.
It also asked the units to raise public awareness in flood-affected areas regarding cleanliness, use of safe water, and hygiene practices.
