DHAKA, July 11 (V7N) — Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today visited BNP Media Cell Convener Professor Dr Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel, who is undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital.
The Prime Minister went to Continental Hospital, formerly United Hospital, in Gulshan around 4:00 pm and enquired about Prof Pavel’s physical condition, said PM’s Deputy Press Secretary Md Suzauddhowla Sujon Mahmud.
During the visit, Tarique Rahman spoke with Prof Pavel’s doctors and was briefed on the latest updates regarding his health.
The Prime Minister wished Prof Pavel a swift recovery and directed the relevant authorities to ensure he receives the highest standard of medical care.
Prof Pavel became ill after experiencing severe chest pain at his Bogura residence on Thursday. He was first admitted to TMSS Hospital there.
He was flown to Dhaka by air ambulance on Friday afternoon and admitted to Continental Hospital, where he is now under the care of Professor Dr NAM Momenuzzaman.
