DHAKA, July 31 (V7N) — Prime Minister Tarique Rahman conducted a late-night inspection of cleanliness operations carried out by the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Thursday after completing a full day of official duties.
Deputy Press Secretary Md. Sujauddoula (Sujon Mahmud) confirmed that the prime minister began the inspection between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
According to the Deputy Press Secretary, Tarique Rahman personally drove the vehicle with DNCC Administrator Md. Shafiqul Islam Khan Milton seated beside him. The inspection began in the Farmgate area before continuing to the Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament) area, Cantonment, Mohakhali, Banani Chairman Bari, Banani, and finally Gulshan, where the prime minister returned home.
During the tour, the prime minister observed roadside cleanliness and sanitation activities and provided guidance to the DNCC administrator on various aspects of urban management.
Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman and other officials from the Prime Minister's Office accompanied the convoy.
Officials said the prime minister had spent the day attending official duties at the Secretariat before undertaking the inspection to assess the condition of roads and public cleanliness across parts of the capital.
