DHAKA, July 26, (V7N) – The deadline for submitting applications for the recruitment of data collectors and supervisors under the Department of Social Services' Family Card implementation programme has been extended until 12 noon on July 28.
The decision was taken as recruitment activities could not be completed within the stipulated time due to adverse conditions and unavoidable circumstances in several areas.
According to an urgent directive signed by Director General Shah Mohammad Mahbub, all new and previously submitted applications must be verified, evaluated, and examined, with the final list of selected candidates published by July 30. Ongoing evaluation in certain areas will continue, while local committees may temporarily suspend tests to conduct them jointly for both new and old applicants.
The directive also authorises local committees to decide whether to postpone or proceed with examinations scheduled for July 25 and 26, depending on local circumstances. If examinations are conducted as planned, separate tests must later be arranged for new applicants.
It was clearly stated that no written tests are allowed in the recruitment process. Candidates must be assessed through practical and oral examinations, along with evaluation of academic GPA, in line with the approved manpower distribution.
Following the publication of the final list, schedules for training and subsequent activities will be redefined and communicated to concerned parties. The Department of Social Services urged all committee chairpersons, member-secretaries, and relevant officials to strictly follow the instructions to ensure smooth and timely completion of the Family Card programme.
