DHAKA, Aug 11, 2026 (V7N )- Health officials today said 756 fresh dengue cases were reported across the country in the past 24 hours.

"During the period, of the 756 patients, 80 were hospitalised in Barishal division, 89 in Chattogram division, 158 in Dhaka division excluding city corporations, 106 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 110 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, 101 in Khulna division, 27 in Mymensingh division, 63 in Rajshahi division, 17 in Rangpur division and five in Sylhet division," a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.

With the latest figures, Bangladesh has recorded 61 deaths and 20,727 cases from dengue so far this year.

Last year, dengue claimed 413 lives and infected 1,02,861 people in the country.

In 2024, the mosquito-borne disease claimed 575 lives and infected 1,01,214 people.
