Dhaka, Nov 13 (V7N) — Zainal Abedin Farooq, Adviser to BNP Chairperson, has called on the interim government to refrain from implementing reforms that should be reserved for elected public representatives. Farooq made this statement during an introductory meeting of the Nationalist Ulama Party, held at Bhasani Bhavan in Nayapaltan on Wednesday morning.

Farooq assured that the BNP would continue to support the interim government until elections are held, emphasising that any actions taken outside of the electoral process would be rejected by the people.

"There is a conspiracy aiming to create embarrassment for the interim government," he said, cautioning against the involvement of controversial figures and urging that election preparations remain on schedule.

The comments come amid ongoing discussions about the interim government’s role and responsibilities as the country prepares for the upcoming elections.
