Dhaka, Nov 23 (V7N) — BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has issued a scathing criticism of the Awami League, accusing the ruling party of having a history of violence and claiming they would repeat such actions if given the chance.
During a visit to the family of Shahid Nafiz, a student of Banani School and College killed in the public uprising at Mahakhali, Rizvi remarked on the alleged atrocities committed by the government. "The Sheikh Hasina government has not spared even children or teenagers to maintain power. Nafiz, Sayed, and Mughdra gave their lives to resist their bloodthirsty grip on the nation," he said.
He further accused the Awami League of having "the blood of thousands of martyrs" on their hands and warned, "Given the opportunity, they will strangle the people again." Rizvi urged the public to remain vigilant against what he termed the ruling party's oppressive tendencies.
The remarks were made on Saturday morning, highlighting a day of remembrance and mourning for those who lost their lives in political violence.
