Dhaka, Dec 08 (V7N) – Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar said the party does not see any risk of postponing the upcoming elections.

He made the remarks after a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin and other election commissioners on Monday. A six-member Jamaat delegation attended the meeting at the Election Building at 11:30 am. The party urged the Election Commission to install CCTV cameras at polling stations and suggested seeking assistance from donor organizations for this purpose.

Earlier, representatives of BNP, NCP, and the Bangladesh Administration Association also met the CEC regarding election preparations.

Separately, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, after a meeting with a European Union delegation, emphasized that the party conducts politics for the people, not for individuals or parties, and while it works on religion, it does not exploit it.
