Dhaka, Dec 26 (V7N)- Nurul Islam Saddam has been elected as the central president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir for the 2026 session, while Sibgatullah Sigba was nominated as secretary general.
The elections took place during a central member conference held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Agargaon, Dhaka, on Friday (December 26).
According to the organization’s constitution, the newly elected president nominates the secretary general. Following his election, Saddam nominated Sibgatullah Sigba for the position.
Nurul Islam Saddam previously served as Chhatra Shibir’s secretary general and as central office secretary. He completed his graduation and post-graduation in Economics at Khulna University and is currently pursuing a post-graduate diploma in entrepreneurial economics at Dhaka University.
Sibgatullah Sigba, meanwhile, served as office secretary in the 2025 session. He has previously held positions as president of the Dhaka University branch of Chhatra Shibir and as central education, publishing, and literary editor.
The newly elected leadership will oversee the activities of Islami Chhatra Shibir nationwide for the upcoming session.
