Dhaka, Jan 11 (V7N) — The National Citizens Party (NCP) has announced a nationwide organized campaign ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections and the referendum, alongside a plan to appoint ‘ambassadors’ across the country to ensure a strong ‘Yes’ vote in the referendum.

The party’s spokesperson, Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, will lead the overall campaign, NCP sources said.

In constituencies where the NCP has fielded its own candidates, the referendum campaign will be conducted under the leadership of those candidates. In areas where the party has no candidate, the NCP will appoint 270 separate ambassadors or representatives to work at the grassroots level in favor of the ‘Yes’ vote.

Meanwhile, to strengthen preparations for the parliamentary elections and referendum, the party has reconstituted its Central Election Management Committee. The committee will oversee election preparations, referendum campaigning, field-level coordination, media activities, and overall monitoring.

The newly formed 31-member committee was approved on the night of January 9 by NCP Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain.

Under the new structure, Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan has been appointed Chairman of the committee, while Monira Sharmin has been named Secretary.

Party leaders said the moves aim to ensure effective coordination and organizational readiness ahead of both the national election and the referendum.
